Hi,
I use the Plex and Emby plugin but the repository hasn't been updated in a while. I've a couple of questions:

  1. Can I just update the the local plugins with "pkg update ..."?
  2. If the plugin repository is updated and I then 'Update' in the console will it break #1 (above)?

Thanks
Paul

Better way would be to create a standard jail and install Plex or Emby in it instead of using the plugins. That way, you can update whenever you want.

Question: Is there a specific feature that you are looking for in the updated version? Or are you updating just because you want to be on the latest version?

These apps are mature enough that even if you are on the old version, you are hardly losing important functionality.

No, not the current plugins.

Not usually unless something is broken in the update. You don't update plugins via the console you update them via the GUI when the update button is available.
