Hello everyone,
I recently made the switch from Ubuntu to FreeNAS on my media server at home. I am running FreeNAS 8.3 and have installed the plug-ins from the Source Forge page, Transmission, FireFly and MiniDLNA. My server is up and running and all my folder permissions etc. are working without issue. However, I have a problem accessing the server via SSH locally or the WebGUI remotely.
I have enabled SSH access in the WebGUI locally but every time I try to login with username John, a user I created and use for my file shares, I am given an access denied error. I have the same problem with SSH locally and remotely.
For remote WebGUI access, I have set up port forwarding in my router to allow access but still can't access the server.
Thanks everyone,
John
