Ubuntu VM on FreeNas

Hi Guys.

I am trying to install a Ubuntu VM on FreeNas so that i can install CrashPlan on. I have installed Ubuntu and can logon etc. However what the hell do i need to do in order for it to either a) pick up and IP address or if i set one manually for it to actually work? Is there something i am missing to make this all connect? Cant believe its this difficult to setup.

Have you added the NIC device? If so and it's still not working, which version of FreeNAS?

FFS! I have been banging my head against the wall most of the days with this one. I had to reboot the NAS for another reason and now the VM is connecting.
