FreeNAS-Nano. 16 x 1TB USB flash on a Raspberry Pi 4. Come on, it's the product everyone's been dreaming of... your own portable personal cloud.

...and here I just bought a pair of supermicro boxes because I didn't want an Atom based timebomb of a system...

Oh well.

...and the new ones are still Avoton-based. Really?
They seem to be C3000 (I'm guessing the old models will get switched over to C3000 soon-ish): https://www.ixsystems.com/freenas-mini/ (click on full specifications)

Mini E has a C3338 and the Mini XL+ has a C3758. I'm not sure anybody on the forums actually tried the dual-core one, but I expect to be similar to a C2550, with the much-improved microarchitecture making up for the lack of the extra two cores. C3758 should be pretty neat.

Hmm, getting rid of the stupid PCIe switch that the ASRock C2750D4I has saves 5 W across the board, on paper, on the C3758 model.
