You could probably use the System/Alert Services option to output to an InfluxDB instance and then do this:

It's easy enough to set up an influxdb in a jail...

It is supposedly available now in SCALE but I cannot get it to work. Any write-ups?

I just tested it... which part isn't obvious to you? it works exactly like any other telegram setup I have seen.

Sorry to bring this thread back to life. I just wanted to offer this work around as this thread is at the top of google.

Since Telegram alerts still aren't on Core I tried the InfluxDB route and failed, couldn't get it to trigger reliably or play nice with strings. Maybe if you have more clue it's possible but there's no other attempts to reference.

In the end I used the kostyaesmukov/smtp_to_telegram docker container to pass emails to telegram. Painless and reliable.
