This one drive out of an array of 6 in a RAIDZ2 suddenly started giving CRC errors and failed out of the array. That's usually a bad cable and that error usually manifests when building a new system with a bad cable or cable plugged in loosely. Has anyone seen this error suddenly appear after having the system work perfectly for about 2 years? The server hasn't been moved or touched at all for least 6 months at this point. It's in a secure location out of the way of bumps or human traffic. Can a cable really just go bad spontaneously? The SATA cables are latching cables, and a visual inspection shows the cables to be snug on both ends.
