Installed in FreeNAS 11.3 U1

Went to the subsonic management pages, trying to setup the music folders. Tried various paths, none work. Keeps telling me "Folder not found"

After your last post here, I wondered when you would realise you would still have an issue with Subsonic. The issue, I'm almost certain, will be that Subsonic (UID/GID 816) doesn't have access to the music dataset.

I've just posted this in another thread. I think it may apply to you as well.

Also getting errors when I try to setup a podcast folder. Default folder that was auto-filled and was able to access & download into was not there, but was created as soon as I subscribed to the first podcast:

Changed to this, and it can't access it, get download errors.
/var/subsonic/podcasts

what in tarnation is going on here?

Hey, thanks for the reply. This is a brand new installation of FreeNAS, brand new installation of subsonic also. All I've done here is make a test rig to see what's going on. Every single video and thread I've scoured on the internet pertaining to FreeNAS installation, it's very straight forward to setup media folders. In the past, in FreeNAS 9.10 it was very simple too, I've followed the same directions as before, but this time it's not working.

EDIT:
I will take a look at the links you've posted in the other thread, see if I can set all of these permissions. I am just wondering why it's so difficult now.

Finally got this figured out, pesky... pesky.... PESKY permissions. What finally clicked was watching this VIDEO - adding users to groups. In this case, I added the user subsonic to the group Subsonic and created both user and group with the, now GID/UID of 844
