Still receiving snapshots on dataset even though it's being excluded

• Kingston 32GB (8GB x 4) ECC w/Hynix DRAM, 1333MHz, 1.5V - KVR1333D3E9SK2/16G
• (4) WD Red 2TB in RaidZ2
• Boot drive: Supermicro 16GB SATADOM - SSD-DM016-PHI

On my snapshot tasks I have two datasets that are specifically excluded, however, I'm still showing snapshots being taken on the snapshots page.

I have my excluded datasets written as

Code:

dvgmar/cameron,
dvgmar/downloads

in the snapshot tasks.

Can someone confirm that (1) I am writing those exclusions correctly and (2) that this function is operating correctly/incorrectly.

Nope, I deleted that bug snapshot task and created three of my own. One is every hour kept for 2 days, second is every day kept for 2 weeks, third is every week kept for 6 months.

Would you mind testing exclusion with a new dataset?

That was just a guess, because there is a known bug leading to unwanted snapshots every night at that time.

You bring up a good point; even though I deleted that task it may still create the snapshot. I'll check tomorrow to see if one was created!

Confirmed! It's the 4:15 bug that was creating the snapshots. I guess I'll just have to wait for 11.3-U1.
