Which version of FreeNAS?
What utility did you use to write the image to the pendrive?
Is the error when you boot into the installer or after a successful installation?
What are the hardware specs of the system?

I have SAS HD's and RAID by Webbios. If I try to boot by the hd (original boot) appears the messages:
"mount: /dev/freenas-v1.db : No such file or directory
Can't open /var/tmp/rc.conf.freenas: No such file or directory"

If I try boot by pendrive, appear the shortening error.

In Webbios, The RAID is ok.

I got it. I downloaded and created a boot drive with an old Freenas-9.3 release. It worked!
