Is there a discussion about the pros and cons of using the "Send deduplicated stream" (sds) option for replication I could read?
I am replicating daily snapshots for two large datasets over a VPN for off-site backup storage using SSH+NETCAT.
CPU: Xeon(R) Silver 4110
RAM: 64GB
Does sds have the same memory and performance problems that Deduplicating the pool does?
Are there any guidelines for when or when not to use sds?
I searched for these answers and didn't see any conversation in the past few years and the older conversations I did find weren't particularly illuminating.
Thank you,
