I have a FreeNas server configured with 6 160 gig Velocity Raptor drive. I want to swap out the 160 gig drive for 6 300 gig Velocity Raptor drives. I have viewed a YouTube video in which the presenter deactivated one drive at a time, swapped out the smaller drive for the larger drive and then reactivated the new drive. He showed that the size of the pool actually increased in size by the size of the new drive. Is this true. I have been told that it would only use the original size of the smaller drive. Which one is correct??

The pool will increase in size only when all the drives have been swapped.
