My requirement is very normal home usage with 2-3 users, additionally I also just interested in this geek and learning on this, can save money so that I no need to pay high price on off the shelve NAS

because I do not want to spend so much on this kind of usage and learning, so I just use all of my lying around drives to start up

I understand if moving future base on my knowledge I can easily ugrade/replace my vdev1 and vdev2 with high capacity drives, once I replace both in a dev, my pool size increase, that’s sound good
Back to the question, what if I want to upgrade vdev3? After replaced both drives, the pool size still won’t increase right?

Your table is confusing (which may be why you haven't any replies). What does your zpool status look like now?
