PXE/Network boot a virtual machine

Sorry if this has been asked and answered before, I did search for an answer but could not find a definitive one.

Can you network/PXE boot a VM created in FreeNAS?

I have a PXE boot server running and have successfully booted physical machines as well as VM's using VirtualBox so I know the set up works.

If bhyve doesn't yet support this natively, you can just use a UEFI application that allows for this. rEFInd is a bit of a swiss army knife in that regard.
