I came home to a horrifying sight.
Supposedly a roommate's child simply removed all the wires including power "in play" but also the box was not positioned as it was before, so I assume further damage may have happened. (Some foul play afoot!)
So I'm trying to restart the server after but all I see is this message repeating (for 20 -30 minutes now):
noper iph:ahcich3:0:-1:ffffffff): rescan already queued

I also see UPS monitor errors but that's just the UPS connector not in the right USB port, to be worried about later.

I have 2 mirrored boot USB drives.
I'm going back to the box now to find if there's anything I can see if I open it up. Also, I'll try 1 boot USB at a time?

In the meantime, if anyone can decipher this error please tell me if there's any useful info to be gleaned from it that would be very much appreciated.

Thank you all.

Ugh. This sounds like your box got tossed around, and there may be broken connectors on the motherboard.

I found he *did* f' around with the innards.
I now have the 5-drive ZFS set w/ 4 drives online. 5th drive is resilvering.
Next I have to figure how to use
. dmesg | grep ugen
to determine what to set the UPS service to look at.

Just run usbconfig, and you'll see which port the UPS is on. Or use auto for the USB port in the UPS service.

Ugh. The resilvering failed. That drive is now listed as "unavailable"
The server is online but the scrolling message now says
. "Interrupt storm on irq264 throttling..."
Any ideas on this? I should probably start a new thread of that topic.

Try vmstat -i to get an idea of which device is attached to irq264.

Yes, it's likely that SATA controller and port sustained damage. You should look at replacing that motherboard.
