I installed the latest update of FreeNAS, then it rebooted and now I see this message from a monitor:
freenas kernel: NLM: failed to contact remote rpcbind, stat = 5, port = 28416.

How to fix please, or just a fresh install .

Edit:
I did another reboot and this time it did reboot ok into the gui. The strange thing is that even after updating to the latest version, In the FReeNAS GUI it still says:

FreeNAS-11.2-U2

(Build Date: Feb 14, 2019 20:8)

Does it meant that FreeNAS wasn't updated then.

This maybe useful for other users who may have the same problem
Thanks

it sounds like the update failed and it booted the last good boot environment as it should.
first thing you should do is make a config backup and then maybe try again.
Im confused why your signature says 11.2-U4.1 if it is running 11.2-u2?

Oh yes, I do make badckups fairly often and especially befiore an update.
Yes, last update a couple of days ago was indeed 11.2-U4, and I booted from a16gb sandisk cruzer blade usb stick. What I did later was to put FreeNAS 11.2-U4 onto a 20Gb laptop hard drive, but with that it says 11.2-U2..
That is also confusing to me.

Are you sure the BIOS is set to boot from the boot device you performed the update on?

Yes I am sure as I went into the BIOS settings to set and or check it was .
Now, FreeNAS wouldn't boot from the USB drive, as it said there were no ZFS something or other. I then connected the 20Gb sata drive, and it booted into FreeNAS 11.2-U4 this time. I then uploaded the last backup and all is well now.
Anyway I was going to post this to say what had happened an now it boots from a sata 20Gb drive
