No file permissions set (source USB Drive NTFS)

Hi I have a question.

I have copied on 2x ways data from an External USB Drive (format NTFS) to my FreeNAS and the result was files without permissions, see below:

----------+ 1 root wheel

The two ways I tried.

- From a Windows 10 machine:

• attached the USB Drive to my Windows 10 machine
• copied the data from the Drive to the FreeNAS Windows Share (samba)

- Import Disk:

• Selected the USB Drive
• Selected NTFS as the format
• Imported the data

So in both situations I can see the data on te FreeNAS server, but the permissions on file level are like I mentioned before.

I also tried to change the permissions with chmod 777 <file>, but the result was:

Operation not permitted

How can I solve this issue?
