Nextcloud - External storage also using internal

Hey guys,


Ran into a problem, i run my Jails on a SSD and have a Z1 volume for storage etc. I have nextcloud installed and writing to external storage, however after a upload today it seems it's also writing to the SSD as i have 50gb+ written there(pretty much my whole ext storage with some compression)

Any clues to what i have confed wrong?

Shouldnt take up space tho, right?

What’s the point of using external storage? Why not just use Nextcloud a internal storage?

I thought this was the way to it to be frank, as this is a completely separate volume
