Never get to RC2 Console Setup

Tried installing from a USB, CD, current version and version 11.1-U7
A multitude of OS listings occurs too fast to read then the computer shuts down to reboot all over again.
I shut off the firewire 1394 port in the BIOS as the trouble shooting section stated.
I am able to install Ubuntu fine onto the SSD drive.

I am check mated!

Motherboard ASUS Z9PE-D8 WS
32 GB memory
CPU E5-2630 V2
WD 250 SSD
3 Seagate ST 1000DM003

Problem fixed by going into /boot/device.hints with ee from the shell.

ee /boot/device.hints

(ee is a vi like editor)

At the top of the list add;

hint.wbwd.0.disabled="1"
hint.achiem.0.disabled="1"


then save the file
