SOLVED Mellanox Connectx2 does not connect at startup FreeNAS-11.3-U1 needs a command

Hi

I have a couple of Mellanox cards mostly Mellonox Connectx3,, I'm doing a migration so I had to setup a Mellanox Connectx-2 in a pinch. It's a two port card. When my machine boots up it says

Mellanox Connectx core driver v3.1
Initializing mtx4_core
Unable to determine PCI device Chain minimum bw
Unlocking Device

The web interface could not be accessed
Please Check Network Configuration

When I check the network Configuration it shows no ports available.
I'm using the second port so here is the command
To get around this select 9 shell command

sysctl sys.device.mlx4_core0.mlx4_port2=eth

I moved a lot of data to a new box with this card

So The card works fine with FreeNAS-11.3-U1.
But it would be nice to make this persistent......

Is adding it under System, Tunables not working?

Could me an example of the tunable for this command

sysctl sys.device.mlx4_core0.mlx4_port2=eth

I will test it out right now

I tried the System Tunable

Varable = sysctl
Value = sys.device.mlx4_core0.mlx4_port2=eth

But it did not work

!st time using tunable, I had to dig in the forum for the info

sysctl sys.device.mlx4_core0.mlx4_port2=eth

so

Value = sys.device.mlx4_core0.mlx4_port2
Variable = eth
Type =sysctl
Description = Mellanox Connectx2 port2

Reboot

Works Perfect Now !!!! Awesome

Upgraded to FreeNAS-11.3-U2. The tune did not have to be recreated. It just works....
