Mellanox ConnectX-3 VPI ESXI - Windows 10

Hi Folks,
i need some support for an idea that I had.

I would like to increase my speed between my ESXi server and my windows 10 desktop PC
found these mellanox connect cards and with 80 bucks each it is affordable.

so can I just plug in this card to my ESXi server and the other side to my windows 10 desktop PC, wire both cards and expect theoretical speeds of 40 gbit/s?

uuups jep, on esxi is a freenas vm and a iscsi that shall be linked to the windows 10 pc via this mellanox.

just wanted to verify it is working. probably we have some esxi freenas user with that card
