Hi all,
I recently built a FreeNAS server. There are computers managed by AD and not managed by AD. My FreeNAS does not join the AD, so I set my FreeNAS's CIFS have the default workgroup name, WORKGROUP.
With computers not in AD domain, I can login to CIFS with userid and passord. However, from a computer in AD domain, I have to add "WORKGROUP\" in the userid to login.
Is there any way to skip "WORKGROUP" in user id? I have commercial NAS which works with all computers without "WORKGROUP\". I wonder if FreeNAS can do the same thing.
Thank you for your help and kindness.
