Hi Guys... I have a 11.0 install of FreeNAS that's been running great of over a year. I restarted the machine on Monday and got the dreaded KBD Enter Panic error. Troubleshooting and reading through all the forum posts I can find, I can't get it working again.
HP ProLiant ML10 Gen 9
i3 Processor
8Gb ECC RAM
Drives are Toshiba P300 3TB
These two drives were mirrored (RAID 1?) and, if I remove them from the machine, FreeNAS will boot up and run fine with the other drive pool I have running. I copied all of that data off and put the bad drives back in to work on recovery.
I've tried upgrading and importing in a fresh 11.2-U7 build and get the same error.
I tried loading FreeBSD 12.1 and importing them as read-only as I've seen suggested and received the following message:
"cannot import 'Media': I/O error
Destroy and re-create the pool from
a backup source"
There was an issue with the backup of this pool so, unfortunately, that's not going to happen.
Am I out of options to recover this pool? Or, is there something else I can try?
Thanks,
Scott
