Hello!

I had old version Freenas server 9.3.
Installed new server copied all files from old one.
Changed IP address on the both servers.
And assigned to the new server ip address of the old server.
After changing IP address windows share is not reachable.
If change ip address back then it is available again.
What is the problem?

DNS/LMHOSTS/WINS cache? Share configuration/permissions? NTLMv1/SMBv1 client?

How are you accessing the server to test?

@CoolBega , this seems to be your first post. Incredible for someone running v9.3 ... go FreeNAS!

Please go to your console and see what is the IP address the server is getting from your router DHCP and/or if you are using static IP assignment. To get all working without issues, I'd set the interface to DHCP, let it get an IP from your router and fix it in the router.

Also, please post server info as per rules.

We use that server for filesharing for Windows machines, through the SMB service.
Initially when I installed and configured it I set one static IP.
Then to replace old server I changed it's IP to another static IP.
After I changed IP address SMB filesharing became unreachable.
Normally I open fileshare from windows using \\"ip address" in Run box.
If it is initial IP address it works, if it is changed IP then it shows empty windows.
