Hello All,

I would please need some help. I currently have Twonky media server installed in a Mybooklive (Wester Digital NAS) and it works perfectly. Even I have it installed in a Synology server and works perfectly, however I am struggling in installing it in the TrueNAS server.
Does anybody know how to install it in TrueNAS please?

PS: I am not good at linux commands, so I would appreciate step by step please. (I am asking too much I know...)

Thanks beforehand.

Its Twonly available in FreeBSD format? A quick google search didn't come up with anything. If not, you'd need to load it up into a Linux VM on TrueNAS CORE.

According to the homepage of twonky there is no version for FreeBSD and as it is closed source this will probably never happen,
so if you want twonky you have to do like Kris said.

If you're just looking for a streaming server you might take a look at Plex or Emby for which exist FreeNAS plugins.

Or you might take a look at minidlna or mediatomb which are two DLNA media servers available also on FreeBSD and
can be installed in a jail. For minidlna there are some guides how to setup and install here in the forum.
