How to remove busy directory?

I upgraded to 11.3 Beta. It appears that something was broken in the migration where it created a path (or mount point?) with an extra "/mnt". So that there is now a path to the 11.3 jail release folder with "/mnt/mnt/..." at the front.

Now, many regular operations in the GUI fail and show a popup reading either that this file cant be unmounted or the device is busy.

So, my theory is that if I can delete the extraneous folder, it could allow the system to get past this error and establish the correct dir path. Please correct me if my theory is way off.

But, I can't delete this folder from the shell because it says the device is busy. Any ideas on how to fix this?
