Hey

I went over docs but they only show VritalBox and VMWare ESXi. I tried setting up vm on freenas using FreeBSD/UEFI bios + all default settings & iso in cdrom but when I start it and then connect via either VNC or Serial all I get is black screen and generic text.

How do I configure it using Freenas VM system ?

I don't have standalone server that runs 24/7 to run virtualBox/vmWare.

Which OS are you trying to install in your VM? I.e. what is the install ISO you are using?

I deleted the VNC device and installed via serial console. Worked great. UEFI (of course), disk and network both VirtIO.

Switch on the VM, then connect vi serial, you will be greeted with the installer.

Please switch off the VM. Then delete the VNC device. The switch it back on again and then connect via serial ...
Your video shows a VNC port, so the VNC device must be still there.

OK, guys ... any idea why the "serial" menu entry leads him to a shell on his FreeNAS instead of the serial VM console?

Try clearing your browser's cache? Just a thought... If not, then it must be a bug?
