Greetings from an old newbie, seeking help with an old FreeNAS box that lost its USB boot stick.

If you have a saved config, it will be easier after building a new boot stick, but otherwise, just import your pools (not disks) after a fresh build and re-do the config.

Your data will all still be there.

As an Aussie living abroad, I forgot I should have started with G'day mate. ;)

@sretalla I had no idea. I always thought you were Swiss.

I wonder if we should start a register of Aussie and Aussie expatriate FreeNAS lovers? There can't be too many of us. It would be great to know what other locals are using for FreeNAS. Our hardware choices are far more limited and not as competitively priced as are on offer for our US brethren. I often drool with envy over their hardware configurations. ;)

Time-wise we're also in the band UTC 8 to 10, while the US is UTC -4 to -8, which presents its own set of difficulties when it comes to seeking assistance. Our evening is US wee hours of the morning. Not so bad with Switzerland at UTC 1. Your morning is our evening.
