Installed some new RAM tonight, first reboot in ages and I get an alert:

WARNING: The volume data (ZFS) status is UKNOWN.

If I got to /mnt/data and do a "View Volumes" I see the following:

data /mnt/data 6.0 KiB (8%) 752.0 KiB 823.5 KiB UNKNOWN

This should be a 1TB volume.

Any help? This is a mirrored volume, so the data should be there....

Hi Ken,

Can you post the version of FreeNAS you're using and your hardware info, such as your architecture and memory. Details make a difference ;)

Have you tried to do a "zpool status -v" from the command line? What do you get?

Yes, sorry. Initial panic mode.

FreeNAS 8.2 beta 2 x64
HP Proliant N40L

Two drives in a ZFS mirrored configuration -- 750GB (my bad above) + 2TB so a ~750GB data pool.

zpool status -v shows "no pools available"

Hmmm.... I hate to say it, but if you value your data don't use a beta version, especially in a big jump such as 8.0x to 8.2...

I would go back to a stable version, but that being said, what do you get from:

camcontrol devlist

Did you try to install or remove a Plugin Jail?

Jail was definitely installed. Don't know if it was ever removed -- I gave up after the "wait for the RC for plugins".

camcontrol devlist
<WD 7500AAC External 1.65> at scbus6 target 0 lun -0 (pass0, da0)
<Staples 1.22> at scbus7 target 0 lun 0 (pass0, da1)

The WD external is unused -- it's a backup of my original import.

It looks like it doesn't see either of your mirror disks. Did you accidently bump some cables loose when you installed your memory?

Just a word of caution, don't try to uninstall your Plugin Jail, there's a bug that may delete the data in your pool(s).
