Just building a FreeNAS server for more cruicial backups, currently had a 1 disk WDMyCloud and a 1 disk Synology NAS which work great for basics like media sharing but putting this together now for backups that require a bit more safety.
Put together an old i3 2100 with 16gb memory and 6 x 3tb SAS on a PERC H310. These will be running in Z2/Raid 6.
Have already had a play with FreeNAS while waiting for disks and raid card to arrive with a couple of old SATA drives in, realy impressed so far and can't wait to get this system finished.
