Hello friends :)
im trying to prepare my FreeNAS Server for PXE but it didnt work..
i tried to create a dhcp server but it didnt work as well.. its too complicated for me and i dont know what to do
the most tutorials are not are not working for freenas 9.2.0

i need a step-by-step tutorial :(

You want to use your server to pxe boot thin clients?

Freenas should be just the storage for your images, not the dhcp server which is responsible for dishing out the info needed to direct clients to the storage. If you don't have any other storage to use and don't have a decent router/switch, then you could setup a jail with the required software...

I'll tell you that every home router I've seen or owned does not support the PXE booting DHCP entries you will need. I use pfsense, and it apparently supports it, but I've never done it.

Nope. Had to spend a few days reading the manual and forums, then trying to build it and get it all working.

I'm working on this.. The jails currently aren't with the appropriate LSB.. I didn't expect an Ubuntu jail to actually be everything.. Hamachi is a future project but it should be do-able..
