FreeNAS direct connection

Hi everybody,

I want to direct conect my windows computer to my freenas box throught a 10Gbe link using two chelsio T520.

Both computers are in the 192.168.0.x range, so if i install the new cards i have to use, lets say, a 192.168.1.x range setting static ip in both cards.

So the question is... Do i have to do anything else? I am trying to understand how my windows machine would see the oher network...

No, you have it right there. As long as you specify in Windows to connect to the interface on the 10Gbps point-to-point link, FreeNAS should "reply" back on that path.
