Hello,
as 443 is the common port for HTTPS, why do you want to change it?
When I remember it correctly, you have to change that in the apache config (webserver).
You can use the owncloud documents here too, as nextcloud is very near to owncloud.

Did you find an answer to this because I have the same problem and don't know where and how to update the port number?

Apparently https is not supported yet in the plugin deployment of nextcloud:-( I wasable to redirect to another port other than 80 though by changing the config file in the conf.d directory of the nginx server.

No, it isn't--and it's not likely it will be, though that's admittedly only a guess on my part. My script does a complete installation of Nextcloud including SSL. Otherwise, you can search the web for configuring nginx for SSL--you'll be starting from square one in the jail.
