Hi,

I've just installed Freenas 8.2.0 on a HP N36L micro-server.

I'm now trying to install the plugins, as per:

http://doc.freenas.org/index.php/Plugins

I've setup the Plugin Jail, and installed the Transmission plugin.

I've started the Plugin Jail, but when I try to start up the Transmission plugin, I get "Some error occurred" at the top (which I must admit is a less than helpful error message).

If I check /var/log/messages:

Code:
Jul 22 00:19:13 freenas manage.py: [freeadmin.navtree:413] Couldn't retrieve http://192.168.2.158/plugins/transmission/_s/treemenu: HTTP Error 502: Bad Gateway
Jul 22 00:19:17 freenas manage.py: [services.views:83] Couldn't retrieve http://192.168.2.158/plugins/transmission/_s/status: HTTP Error 502: Bad Gateway

Any ideas what's going on? Is this some kind of Django issue? Hmm, are Django logs stored somewhere? (Wish we were using django-sentry...lol).

Also, as an aside, the Jail IP description in the documentation is a big ambiguous - are we meant to set this to any other device on the network that we can ping? Or are we meant to pick a new unassigned address? (I've tried both in the case above).

Cheers,
Victor

I thought I had fixed my problem(related to firewall) but I'm getting the same error. I've run out of ideas on how to fix it and since I am in a virtual machine it's possible that could complcate the problem.

For the jail IP, try putting in a new IP. Example if your nas is 192.168.1.80 put in 192.168.1.81 - worked for me
