Hi Everyone,
I am trying to add a jail on a fresh 11.3-U1 install. FreeNAS is installed on the baremetal SuperMicro X10DRU-X.
I have a single RAID-Z2 encrypted pool (unlocked) on which the jails location is set.
I configured a basic jail as follows:
As above, the DHCP says not running. If I try to start the jail I get:
If I uncheck DHCP Autoconfigure IPv4 and set the IP statically, then I get:
If I uncheck DHCP Autoconfigure IPv4, Vnet, and Berkeley Packet Filter and select igb0 as the interface, then it works.
Network > Global Configuration:
Network > Interfaces (with jail static IP set):
I would much prefer to use DHCP. The only hints I could find was that VM installs would require promiscuous mode and there were some bugs that required you to reboot for the IPs to work - I am running baremetal and I tried multiple reboots. Any ideas?
