Not sure I'm missing a step here. I can see the new drive under View Disks. But when I try to use the replace under Volume Status, the new drive is not in the drop down.
Do I need to take the drive to copy offline?

No, you don't need to take drive and copy offline. Check logs to make sure the new drive is detected. Depending on your controller, it may just be in an offline state. Or wipe it like Chris suggested

I watched the video. It showed you have to take the drive being replaced offline and remove it. Plug in the new drive and start the resilver process using the Replace button.

What I did was plug in the new drive and try to start the resilver process.
