em0 goes down every few days after installing new NIC

Hello all,

So, I have been running FreeNAS for over 5 years and built it relatively cheap and with limited knowledge. Until recently I have been using the onboard dual realtek NIC with no networking issues. After starting a new cloud backup I found that the NIC would go offline anytime it tried to do a backup. After doing some research I realized that it was likely due to the high traffic on the realtek NIC. I installed an Intel NIC and that seemed to solve the problem. Now, the NIC will go down intermittently every 5 to 9 days with no indication of what may be causing it. It is during times when there would be little to no traffic. I've searched for this issue, but haven't been successful in finding any solutions. My system specs and the output are posted below. Thank you in advance for anyone who is able to help.
