Does freeNas support a VGA display?

So, the display accepts SVGA -- if your motherboard has SVGA out, then yes, the FreeNAS console output can go to that display, but probably not the web interface. Kind of neat, but there's not a whole lot you can do from the console aside from seeing certain error messages and performing some emergency functions such as resetting the admin password.

It looks like it just plugs into the video card. Yes, it would give you the text output. I would definitely NOT spend the money on that though. All you'll see is some text.

Great! Yeah we'll I have had this case in my basement gathering dust for a while, left over from an htpc that I decommissioned and wasn't going to use it if the screen had no use. So I'll give it a shot and see how it works out.
Thanks for the info.
