Hi there!

I just did my first FreeNAS install.
I created a new pool a RAIDZ with 6x 10TB WD Reds.
Now I can hear all the disk clicking continuously and the used capacity of the pool is going up steadily.

...BUT I'm not doing anything there are no shares or anything enabled.
Before the creation of the pool all the disks were spinning in idle and after a while the heads went to park position just like they should do.

Funny thing is that Reporting tab shows that the disks are not active! ...but I can hear them working all the time right next to me.

What is going on?

Ok nevermind I just found the reason.
The System Dataset was set as default to the new pool and the reporting database was writing all the time. Now I moved that to the OS disk and set the reporting database to store in ram.
Why is the reporting database set to store on the disk as default anyways? Makes no sense to me. :D
