Hello everybody,
Currently I run a FreeNAS Server with only one real user (me) but now my friend wants to have access to it too.
Now I want to create a second account for him but our accounts should have different permissions to view certain files. I don’t know if it’s important but we both use macOS and Windows 10.
First – I don’t want him to have rights to create new files, rename files, delete files or move files. He only should be able to read files. Is this possible?
Second – He only should have access to certain files? For example, on the nas there are some folders which are private and should not be seen by anybody but me.
Third – is it possible to create only one single folder to give him write permissions to? Maybe like a type of cache where he can copy folders which will be later put in the right directory by me.
Thank you all for your time.
Greetings.
