I created a video to walk folk through using danb35's script to create a Plex jail, move metadata from an existing plugin, and enable hardware transcode. For folk who aren't that familiar with CLI, really.

It's 1080p and looks okay locally. On Youtube, it's a blurry unusable mess, can't read anything on the desktop I recorded.

Edit: SD on Youtube, with a verified account. Locally, 1920x1080 @ 29.95 fps. Audio 44.1kHz, Stereo. MP4 file, unsure how to see the codec.

For those who have done that before: How do I fix that? Can I fix that?

What codec are you using... usually mp4/m4v with H.264 codec would do it.

Yeah, it's H.264 with AAC audio. Odd. I'll be poking around some more.

Well, this explains it. “Higher resolutions, such as 4K or 1080p, can take more time to process. While this processing happens, your video may appear to be missing higher resolutions for several hours. Once high-resolution processing is finished, higher resolutions will be available on your video.”

I shall do a little more editing, and then try again.

I hope it's in English as well for us mere mortals who don't speak German ;)
