Can't delete file from share

I have a FreeNAS 9.10.2-U6 that I use for a file server in my office. I have space shared with CIFS for my Windows 10 PC's. I do daily backups from the Windows 10 user accounts to the server. I have some files on FreeNAS that won't delete. I get a message that says:

You require permission from FREENAS\DCCI to make changes to this file. DCCI is the shared space.

Not sure why this file which was copied there from Windows 10 can't also be deleted from Windows 10?

What can I do to delete these files? I don't see any file manager in FreeNAS that I can directly access these files without the share.

Thanks,
Kirk

Are you comfortable with deleting the file in the Shell or via SSH?

I have only used the shell at the very first when I set up FreeNas. Have been using the GUI since. The Shell is pretty much "dragons be here" area for me. :)

If that is the only way, then I need to figure it out. These files are very old and plugging up backup refreshes.

I got into the shell and found the subdirectory and zapped it gone. Thanks. Was a little scary. Got'er done! LOL
