Hi all,
I had installed Freenas on a machine and everything was fine. After a certain time, i had to use the FREENAS bootable stick and thus, reinstalled FREENAS afterwards. The problem is that i can't assign a static ip; it appears assigned, but i have no ping, no nothing. I am making the same settings that i did before, when it was working.
If i reset FREENAS to factory defaults, it gets an ip address from the DHCP server on the router. That IP address works ok, but if i try to assign a static IP, it apperas to be recorded and i loose conectivity. No ping, no nothing. Also if i set DHCP afterwards, still nothing; it records the ip from DHCP but still can't access it. Only reset to factory defaults does the trick.
I installed for many times FREENAS on USB stick on many machines, but never encountered this problem.
Any suggestion would be highly appreciated. Thanks
