Broadcom BCM57781 (on board ASRock Z77 Extreme 6) - not recoginzed

Hi -

Seriously new FreeNAS user looking for a little help.

Just setup a brand new system and loaded the 8.0.3 system image. Booted from the the USB stick just find - but it's not seeing the NIC. It is an on-board Broadcom BCM57781 chipset on an ASROCK Z77 Extreme 6 MB. I browsed throught the FreeBSD HW compatibility list and saw many Broadcom NICs supported but not this one. Is there any quick way to get this working or should I just truck back up to Microcenter and pick up a $39 Gigabit PCIe X1 Adapter?

8.0.3 or 8.3? If the former, try the later.

If the later then yes, I see a trip in your future soon.

Excellent point! Not sure how I ended up with an 8.0.3 image. Picked up an Intel adapter. Also just downloaded 8.3. All is well.
