Brand new disk - should I return it?

I just replace a Toshiba 6TB drive in my FreeNAS server and the long SMART test is reporting Reallocated Sectors Cnt of 688 and Reallocated Event Cnt of 71.

Should RMA this drive and get a new one, or just keep an eye on the values and make sure they don't go up?

If its brand new and you can return it without RMA I would definitely do it. 3 Hours in and errors already.. Not a good start.

I got the drive from Newegg. Returning items less than 30 days old is a no-brainer so I guess I might as well do it.

I'd agree. That many bad sectors on a brand-new disk is unacceptable.
