Looking for advice on the best way to share files with my parents. They are not the most computer literate and i would have to walk them through accessing the share over the phone. What would be the easiest solution to set up on my end to give them access to my files?

What are you trying to share? I share my media with my folks. I just shared my plex libraries to my Dad's plex account. Now they can watch my stuff without accessing the file system. My mother in law has file system access through a ssl vpn from my sophos utm. She dials the vpn and then has mapped network drives to my stuff. I just locked down her permissions so she can't screw it up.
