Hi there!

I want to convert my Windows computer to a FreeNAS. In it I have:
  • 2x 4TB empty drives ready for the FreeNAS storage pool
  • 1x 1TB disk with data (about 80% full), NTFS formatted
  • 1x 1TB disk with data (about 90% full), NTFS formatted
My plan is to install FreeNAS on the computer and create the 4TB storage pool out of the 2 4TB drives. Where I'm not sure how to go about it is, how to move the data from the two 1TB drives to the FreeNAS 4TB storage pool efficiently.

It would be great if I could maybe use a terminal and directly move the contents of both 1TB drives into the 4TB storage pool somehow, although I'm not familiar with the file system the storage pool uses, hence if this is possible at all.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!

Thank you,
Simke
