Running FreeNAS-11.2-RELEASE-U1, I've had three events where all running iocage jails stop with no indication when exporting a pool.

I can't find a bug on this issue - is there one I've missed? If not, can anyone else confirm this behavior?

Are your jails on the pool you exported?

Or did they have storage mount points on the pool you exported?

No, iocage is set up to use my main pool. The three times I have detached pools, they were backup pools. The backups are complete backups of my main pool, so they would include a copy of the iocage jails.

No, the jail storage is on the main pool.

It is certainly quite possible that there is some configuration problem at play though, because when I first set up iocage, it defaulted to activating on the first pool, sorted alphabetically, which is not what I wanted. I had to do an iocage clean -a; iocage activate main to set things straight. Perhaps that process left some cruft that is implicated in this apparent bug.

If anyone else has this issue, it was reported as Bug #74569. This morphed into Bug #76162 which is supposedly slated for FN 11.2-U3.
