Had a power outage while I was away that ran down the UPS and crashed the NAS system. On rebooting my zpool is now unavailable and 2 of my 6 drives are no longer showing in the Storage-Drives view

I took the two drives that are UNAVAIL and connected them to my laptop via a USB to SATA cable. The drives are discovered but show as uninitialized. Looks like the partition information is corrupt. The zpool was set up as a RaidZ2 so I should be able to survive a 2 drive loss right? Really need to get these back up and running as they contain Tax information :( - Yes I should have a back up but I am an idiot -

Any help would be extremely helpful. I have been racking my brain on this for 2 days now.

Freenas 11.2-U7 is recent, this begs the question how hold is your configuration and if you did a recent update or a fresh install.
You should try rebooting the system with all the drives plugged in and load previously stable version of Freenas if you have it.

I had just updated it hoping that would fix the issue. It was running stable few a few months after I update it from ver 9 to 11 last year in July 2018. dont know where I can get ver 9

are the missing drives on the same sata bus?

zpool would suggest that you created the pool as raidz1

I have moved them around and it doesn’t matter the Sata input. I believe they were on the same controller when the system crashed

This is a RAIDZ1, not a RAIDZ2. If two of your drives are hosed, your data is gone.

I agree, your data is likely lost.
