Hi folks,
I just started using FreeNas, Trying to set up a VM to hold the web panel for the website but after all the reading here of any issues with VNC I can not get anything to connect.
I have tried
TigerVNC
RealVNC
etc.
I am at a bit of a loss.

I cannot tell for external VNC viewers, but novnc (the built-in web vnc viewer) works only if the VNC device listens on the same IP address than the FreeNAS web interface.

Well, still not working.
This is the biggest thing holding me back from using FreeNAS.
Anyone know a video or something that might help solve this.

@TheDarrenS What devices have you attached to your VM and what guest OS are you trying to/is installed? You know the VM is actually booting succesfully?

Devices as in? I am just getting used to this so not sure your meaning.
Linux,
CentOS7
And I think it is booting, basically, I click on the vnc button, it flips to the booting of the OS then flickers then disconnects.
and that is all I have.

Which version of FreeNAS? Followed the user guide (it explains what device means in this context)? Enabled VNC when creating the VM and also checked that the VNC device has "web interface" enabeld?
