Statement of Volatility – TrueNAS Z-Series Storage Arrays

The iXsystems TrueNAS Z-Series storage appliances contain both volatile and non-volatile (NV) components. Volatile components lose their data after power is removed from the component. NV components retain data even when power is removed. These NV components may or may not contain user data. Examples of non-user data include firmware.

The following table provides information regarding NV components used in TrueNAS Z-Series storage appliances that store user data. It does not provide coverage for volatile memory and NV memory that do not store user data.
